Hi there and welcome to my little corner on the internet! 👋🏽
I'm a UX Designer/Researcher based in Toronto 🇨🇦, with extensive experience in teaching and education 👩🏽🏫, as well as writing and media production, particularly in children's media 📺.
Transitioning from teaching to the tech industry, I embrace a philosophy of continual growth and learning, deeply rooted in the concept of a growth mindset. My passion lies in crafting impactful user experiences, particularly addressing uncharted challenges to enrich interactions and improve people's lives.
My STory
Prior to pursuing my career in Product Design, I worked as a teacher and continue to do so, providing education and experiences for children. So, how did I transition to Product Design? Well, it all started with a course at Centennial College focused on Children’s Media, where I discovered the similarities between teaching and UX design—empathy, research, and the ongoing pursuit of creating enjoyable experiences for students or users. Just as we teach children to grow, I've embraced the opportunity to heed that advice and expand my knowledge and skills.
Outside nine-to-five
When I'm not immersed in UX Design/Research, I'm honing the skills I acquired through Centennial College's Children’s Media program. Presently, I'm working on my debut children’s book 📇 and pursuing a writing apprenticeship. Previously, I collaborated with Twin Cities PBS & the Ready To Learn initiative, guiding children’s television writers in creating authentic storytelling that resonates with diverse audiences.
Setting aside design and writing, I find joy in spending time with my family, friends, and indulging in delicious food.🍽️
